Experience

Bassam concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation, including products liability and toxic tort matters.

Prior to joining Hinkhouse Williams Walsh, Bassam was an associate at a Chicago insurance defense firm, where he defended a variety of civil litigation matters, including wrongful death actions, products liability claims, and toxic tort cases. Before attending law school, Bassam worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for three years during the pandemic. His combined medical and legal experience provides him with a unique perspective on the complex issues that arise in litigation.

Bassam earned his law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where he focused on trial advocacy and alternative dispute resolution courses. He also served as a student attorney with the UIC Veterans Legal Clinic, advocating for veterans seeking benefits and discharge reclassifications.

Outside of his practice, Bassam enjoys exploring Chicago’s food scene and watching sports.
