Experience

John McCorry focuses his practice on representing insurers in litigation and arbitration. John has litigated insurance coverage disputes in over 20 states, including Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, New York and Pennsylvania involving commercial general liability, excess and umbrella, business automobile, professional liability and workers’ compensation policies. John also previously advised private colleges and universities throughout the country about insurance and contractual indemnification issues and assisted these institutions in negotiating and drafting contracts with outside vendors and service providers. John has belonged to the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association and has served as a member of the Insurance Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association.

John also has extensive experience in representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial and business disputes in both state and federal courts.  John also served as the lead appellate practice attorney at a prior firm, where he successfully argued appeals before the Illinois Appellate Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Seventh and Tenth Circuits.
