Experience

Prior to her tenure at Hinkhouse Williams Walsh, Deba was an associate at an Am Law 100 firm and a national law firm, where she provided strategic counsel and vigorously defended insurers in complex coverage litigation, including breach of contract and bad faith claims, in both federal and state courts. Deba’s extensive experience also encompasses insurance defense, having represented insured parties in a wide range of premises liability cases.

Deba began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Cynthia Y. Cobbs in the Illinois Appellate Court, First District. During her clerkship, Deba honed her legal research and writing skills, drafted judicial orders, and contributed to the development of appellate opinions.

Deba earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law, where she was an active member of the Appellate Moot Court Society, served as an editor for the DePaul Journal of Art, Technology & Intellectual Property Law, and was selected as a fellow of the Jaharis Health Law Institute.

Outside of her legal practice, Deba is committed to advancing legal education and mentoring the next generation of attorneys by advising and coaching students preparing for moot court competitions as a member of the Appellate Moot Court Society Alumni Board at DePaul University College of Law.
